Manila, Philippines – The Amihan National Federation of Peasant Women lambasted Duterte over his recent sex jokes during a typhoon briefing in Camarines Sur on top of that many poor have died, lost their houses and livelihood due to the recent typhoons that hit the country. Moreover, amid efforts of people’s organizations and NGOs to take on the noble task of aiding the affected population, President Rodrigo Duterte was still joking and squabbling his political rivals. Worse, his joke reeks of misogyny as he treated women as sex objects.
Amihan ended by stressing that the obvious failed response to alleviate the impact to the poor sectors is an added basis for the correctness of the people’s demand for his ouster from his post.
