The Amihan National Federation of Peasant Women condemned the Kilusang Bagong Lipunan’s (KBL) nomination of Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, Jr. as its presidential bet in next year’s elections. “Let us not forget that KBL was founded by the dictator Ferdinand E. Marcos. The peasant women and the Filipino people will never forget the suffering from the plunder and human rights abuses committed by the Marcoses, lalo pa at napakagarapal ng pamilyang ito sa kapangyarihan na pilit pang binabago ang kasaysayan para makatakas sa kanilang kasalanan,” Amihan national chairperson Zenaida Soriano said.
“Justice has not been served to the victims while the Marcoses continue to enjoy the fruits of their ill-gotten wealth.
“We will ensure that the horrors of Martial Law under the Marcoses and the terror of Duterte’s tyranny will be remembered. ###
